New Student Admissions (PMB) for Chemical
Engineering at Unpam, Even Semester 2024/2025
New
Student Admissions (PMB) for the Chemical Engineering Study Program at Pamulang
University (Unpam) for the even semester of 2024/2025 has been successfully
completed. A total of 55 prospective new students registered to join the study
program, demonstrating the high enthusiasm of prospective students for the
Chemical Engineering study program at Unpam. The selection process is divided
into two main stages: administrative selection and academic selection.
In
the first stage, administrative selection, prospective students are required to
fulfill various requirements set by the university. These requirements include
complete administrative documents such as photocopies of diplomas, transcripts,
and identity cards. In addition, prospective students are also required to
complete an application form and attach other relevant supporting documents.
This administrative selection process aims to ensure that prospective students
meet the formal requirements to participate in further selection.
After
completing the administrative selection process, the 55 prospective students
then proceeded to the second stage, the academic selection. This academic
selection process assesses prospective students' academic abilities based on
their achievements during their previous education. The academic test includes
a written exam that assesses their understanding of basic chemical engineering
material, including mathematics, physics, and chemistry. This exam is designed
to measure prospective students' readiness for chemical engineering courses.
From
the academic selection process, 51 prospective students successfully passed and
were accepted into the Chemical Engineering Study Program at Pamulang
University. This success demonstrates that the selection process can produce
prospective students who are qualified.
meet
high academic standards. This selection process also reflects the study
program's commitment to maintaining the quality of prospective students and
their readiness to face the challenges of higher education.
Although
only 51 students were accepted, this number still represents a positive
outcome. This also indicates that the prospective students who applied are of
high quality, with the majority successfully meeting the rigorous academic
selection criteria. These selection results can also serve as a reference for
the study program to further improve the quality of learning and provide a
quality academic experience for students.
The
smooth administrative and academic selection process is certainly due to the
thorough preparation carried out by the Chemical Engineering Study Program and
Pamulang University. The university has designed a transparent and objective
selection system, utilizing standards aligned with the needs of the industrial
world and technological developments in the field of chemical engineering. This
robust selection process is expected to produce competent graduates who are
ready to compete in the workforce.
Following
the announcement of the selection results, accepted students will undergo a
series of orientation and campus introduction activities. These orientation
activities aim to help new students become familiar with the campus
environment, available facilities, and academic culture at Pamulang University.
Furthermore, students will be provided with an understanding of the learning
system in the Chemical Engineering study program, including the curriculum and
course materials they will face.
To
increase the number of applicants in the coming year, the Chemical Engineering
study program at Unpam (State Islamic University) can consider several
promotional strategies, such as introducing the program through social media,
open houses, or collaborating with high schools to conduct direct outreach to
prospective students. A more intensive and targeted promotional strategy will
help increase prospective students' interest in choosing Chemical Engineering
at Unpam as a place to continue their higher education.
Furthermore,
the success of this selection process can also serve as an evaluation tool to
improve the new student admissions process in future years. One aspect that
could be improved is expanding the selection method to include online-based
tests or interviews, to provide a more comprehensive assessment of prospective
students' abilities. This can also provide a means to better understand
prospective students' potential, which may not be reflected solely through
written exams.
Overall,
the admission of new students to the Chemical Engineering Study Program at
Unpam for the even semester of 2024/2025 went smoothly and successfully
selected qualified students. With an objective and transparent selection
process, it is hoped that accepted new students will be able to complete their
education well and become competent graduates in their fields. The Chemical
Engineering Study Program at Unpam remains committed to providing the best
education and is ready to compete at the national and international levels.
